WWII Japanese Leather Leggings

This is a set of leather leggings for Japanese troops used during World War II. I'm not sure if these were used exclusively by mounted troops or if they were used by the entire Imperial Japanese Army. This set has a beautiful chocolate brown appearance. All the leather straps, guides and roller buckles are present and unbroken. The stitching on each of the leggings is rock solid, no brakes or frays. They are 11 1/2" tall. Each one has the same kanji characters on the inside, unfortunately I can't read it. This set remains in fantastic condition, and would really help make any Japanese collection stand a little taller.
