Hi, my name is Mickey Kiser and welcome to War Room Relics! I have been a student of military history since about the age of 12. My first fascination was with World War II, as I could read of different battles and then talk to any of 5 of my great uncles who were WWII veterans. I grew up with the story that one of my relatives had been with that great Tennessean Alvin York when he performed his feat of heroism during the Meuse-Argonne offensive. Unfortunately I discovered later on that this was not true! But by then the dye had been cast. I joined the Army at 18 and spent the next 21 years serving with Uncle Sam. After retiring I went to work as a military contractor, working as a Bradley Field Support Representative for almost 16 years. So from November 1979 until September 2015 I was in the Army or working for it! Now instead of being a military relic, here I am selling them. The thing that has always fascinated me the most about military life is the human interest side of things. I love to discover the people behind the relics, and whenever possible reunited them with a family member. That doesn't happen very often, but it sure feels good when it does happen. My ancestors rode with the Virginia Cavalry during the Civil War, served in WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam, so the military runs deep in the family.
I began to collect after I returned from my last tour in Iraq, and the bug hit hard! I am still a collector at heart, but have found it just as enjoyable to help others in their quest for that elusive artifact needed to complete their collection. My interests center around Civil War Cavalry, the 82nd Division during WWI, WWII airborne and 7th Cavalry items from all eras. But you can find all eras of American military history on the website, from the American Revolution through the Vietnam war. I will make every effort to help you with what ever your collecting needs are. If it isn't listed on the website, don't hesitate to call. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean I don't have it! In the past almost 4 years since I've started doing relics I have built up a very good network of reputable dealers, so in the event I don't have what you're looking for I can point you in the right direction.
I attend about 30 military and gun shows across the nation yearly, so the inventory is constantly evolving. I also attend auctions, estate sales and do consignments..
I am a life member of the Tennessee Military Collectors Association and a member of the Ohio Valley Military Society.
My goal at War Room Relics is to provide you with the best customer service in the industry, along with the highest quality relics available. And it's not all about the money, if I'd wanted to be rich I wouldn't have spent 35 years with the Army! At War Room Relics I want you to feel like you're a friend, not a box to check off. Pick up the phone and call just to see what's going on. If you happen to be near Kingsport, Tennessee and want to drop by the store and hang out for a while, please feel free to! I got cold drinks, popcorn and John Wayne, what more do you need!
I look forward to helping you with your collecting needs, big or small. And along the journey I look forward to making a new friend!
