Cold War Era M1 Paratrooper Helmet

This is a US Cold War era M1 helmet and liner. The helmet has a visible heat stamp of M-321-C, a stamping I am not familiar with. The exterior of the shell shows evidence of multiple coats of paint, the lighter shade of green found on Vietnam era helmets and the dark shade found on WWII examples. The inside of the helmet also shows multiple coats of paint. The exterior has about 50% of the texture left to it, mostly around the rim of the helmet. The helmet shell has a couple of very small dents in the top. The stainless steel band around the rim retains nearly all of the paint. The rim has a rear seam stainless steel band. The chin strap bails are swivel. The chin straps have a snap on one end that snaps into the liner, and a T1 configuration on the opposite end. The ball end of the chinstrap is missing. The liner is post WWII made, but I'm not exactly sure when. The liner looks to have the original paint on the exterior, the interior is unpainted. The liner is complete with nape strap, paratrooper chin strap and sweat band. The sweatband dates to 1982, as I believe the suspension and nape strap will. It is a good example of an M1 helmet used during the last years of the M1, before it was phased out by the KEVLAR helmet.
