This is a pair of German military sporting shorts from World War II. The German military placed much emphasis on physical fitness with all branches of the military. Each new recruit was issued a physical fitness uniform that consisted of a tank top style sports shirt with the branch emblem on it, a pair of blue, later black shorts and a pair of athletic shoes. This early pair of navy blue shorts is in very good condition. There are no holes or stains, all seams and stitching are tight and unbroken. The waist adjustment draw string is still present. The back pocket still has the button on it. There is no size tag or RZM tag, but the soldier's name is sewn on a tag inside the waist band. It looks to read Simbert. This pair of physical fitness shorts are in excellent condition and will make an great addition to your WWII German collection.
