US Model 1903 Springfield Rifle Combination Tool

This is a US Model 1903 combination gun tool developed for the 30.06 Springfield rifle. The tool was made to perform maintenance on the 1903 rifle, with then large screwdriver blade being used on the butt plate screws, the butt plate spring screw and the guard screws. The small screwdriver blade was used for all other screws except for t he magazine cutoff screw. The pin was used to remove the butt plate cap, ejector, floor plate catch, sear and trigger pins and to remove the lower band spring. These were issued out one per squad in a rifle company. The tool measures 2 3/4" long and 1" wide at the punch. It is stamped with the ordnance drawing number B147064 and U.S. on one side and S.E. Co. and B147065 on the other, making this the las variation of the tool produced. This will compliment your Springfield '03 collection.
