This booklet was written by US Navy Commander Holloway H. Frost, published in 1931, the narrative is 32 pages and is illustrated with black and white plates. This soft cover booklet features different stories of the USS Constitution, a ship that became known as Old Ironsides. The blue cover helps to give the impression of the ship at sail in some distant ocean. The text of the book is printed on heavy cream paper, except for the illustrations. They tell the story of the ship and her captain, Edward Preble. The stories are entertaining and informative, often quoting first hand accounts from personnel on board the ship during the engagements described. This soft back booklet is in good condition.
