This is a pair of US Army jungle boots made by Bata during the Vietnam war. They are made of canvas uppers and leather lowers with a spike resistant plate in the insole and are a size 11XN. These boots were issued to troops in jungle or hot weather conditions where the standard leather combat boot would be unsuitable to wear. This pair is in unissued condition and are in very good condition. There is no wear on the soles and heels of the boots. The black stamps on the inside of the boot are legible, as well as the stamps on the outer tongue of the boot. The stamps are different in each boot and read, 11 XN 8454 on the right boot and 10311 11 XN 8454 211 on the left boot. The tongues of both boots are ink stamped 11XN NF 568 and SPIKE PROTECTIVE. The overall appearance of the boots is good. These boots have 9 eyelets and both have nylon black laces. Each sole is stamped BATA and the size 11XN. These are a must have if you have a Vietnam collection.
